No plans for Easter? Here are the best films to watch on Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and Prime Video. Thrillers, action, comedy and more. Choose now!

Easter means days off, and days off mean you finally have an excuse to catch up on everything you've been putting off for weeks (or months). If this year's plan is sofa, blanket, and movie marathon, you've come to the right place.
We've reviewed the catalogues of Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video to select the films that are making waves in 2025 and 2026. No fuss, no filler: just titles worth watching.
Netflix: action, thriller, and the ones everyone is watching
The Heist (2026)
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck together again, and it works. A group of Miami police officers find 20 million dollars in cash during a raid. What follows is a frenetic thriller with lots of tension, a 70s rhythm, and a chemistry between the leads that few films can boast. Perfect for an afternoon without thinking too much.
War Machine (2026)
Starring Alan Ritchson (yes, Amazon's Reacher), this action and sci-fi film is exactly what it seems: pure spectacle. A platoon of soldiers facing an alien threat on an impossible mission. Currently among the most-watched on Netflix Spain.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (2026)
Cillian Murphy returns as Tommy Shelby in the highly anticipated film that closes the Peaky Blinders universe. With Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth in the cast, this is no whim: it's one of the most important streaming releases of the year. If you haven't seen the series, Easter is also the perfect time to get hooked.
Fair Play (2023)
One of those films that starts as a love story and ends up being a psychological thriller you can't stop watching. Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich shine in a story about ambition, power, and what happens when a couple competes for the same thing. 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. Hard to forget.
HBO Max: the most solid catalogue of the season
Adolescence (2025)
The series that literally paralysed online conversation for weeks. Each episode is shot in a single continuous take, and the story—a teenager accused of murder and everything surrounding his family—is as uncomfortable as it is necessary. Technically a miniseries, but with 4 one-hour episodes, you can watch it in an afternoon. Winner of several Emmys in 2025. A must-watch.
Dune: Part Two (2024)
If you didn't see it in cinemas, you have no excuse now. The second part of Denis Villeneuve's adaptation is one of the best sci-fi films of recent years. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Austin Butler, and Florence Pugh in a visual spectacle that justifies any big screen you have at home.
The Substance (2024)
Demi Moore won the Golden Globe for this, and the film was a viral phenomenon. An actress decides to use an experimental substance that creates a younger version of herself. What seems like a body horror premise turns into a fierce critique of the entertainment industry and the cult of youth. Disturbing and brilliant in equal measure.
Conclave (2024)
The most elegant political thriller of recent years. Ralph Fiennes leads an impeccable cast in a story about the process of electing a new pope, full of secrets, betrayals, and unexpected twists. Won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2025. Auteur cinema with all the pace of a thriller.
Disney+: for all tastes, seriously
Alien: Romulus (2024)
The freshest instalment of the Alien saga in decades. Fede Álvarez directs this story of a group of young space colonisers who discover something they shouldn't in an abandoned station. Works perfectly as a standalone film even if you haven't seen the previous ones. Space horror at its purest.
Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)
The highest-grossing superhero film of 2024. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are exactly as good together as you expected. Irreverent, chaotic, full of cameos and references, and with an energy that never wanes for a second. To switch off your brain and have fun: mission accomplished.
Wicked (2024)
The musical of the year, and rightly so. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo star in the prequel to The Wizard of Oz with a dazzling visual production. Whether you're a fan of musicals or they've never convinced you, this one has something that captivates. One of the most searched for in streaming this Easter.
Inside Out 2 (2024)
The sequel no one expected and which far surpassed the original at the box office. Riley is now a teenager, and alongside the usual emotions, Anxiety appears, stealing the entire film. Perfect for watching with the family, and for anyone who has ever been a teenager (i.e., everyone).
Amazon Prime Video: the less obvious gems
A Complete Unknown (2024)
Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan in his early years in New York. The film that earned him an Oscar nomination and sparked controversy with his red carpet statements. Regardless of the media noise, the film is solid, well-directed, and Chalamet's performance is one of the best you'll see this year.
Speak No Evil (2024)
The most disturbing psychological thriller of 2024. A family accepts an invitation from acquaintances to spend a weekend at their house. Everything seems pleasant at first. What follows is almost impossible to describe without spoilers, but yes: you'll be glued to the screen until the end.
Heretic (2024)
Hugh Grant in a role no one expected from him: a mysterious man who tests the beliefs of two missionaries. A claustrophobic and intelligent thriller that proves Grant has been one of Hollywood's most versatile actors for years.
