ChatGPT Plus vs Claude Pro vs Gemini Advanced: Which AI subscription is worth it in 2026?

The three paid AIs cost the same, but they don’t offer the same: we’ll tell you which one best suits the way you work and how to save by sharing it.

ChatGPT Plus vs Claude Pro vs Gemini Advanced: Which AI subscription is worth it in 2026?

Summarise with AI

Paid artificial intelligence is no longer just for geeks or companies with unlimited budgets. By 2026, millions of people in Spain use ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini daily to write emails, prepare presentations, program, study, or simply save time. And of course, there comes a time when the free version falls short, and you ask yourself: which AI subscription really deserves my money?

ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, and Gemini Advanced (now rebranded as Google AI Pro) are the three main contenders. They all cost roughly the same —around 20 euros per month— but they don't offer the same features. In this article, we explain what each one includes, who they are best suited for, and, in the end, how you can pay much less using Sharingful.

What each paid AI plan includes

ChatGPT Plus: the most well-known, with GPT-5.5 and video generation

ChatGPT Plus is OpenAI's standard subscription at $20 per month (about 21–23 € in Spain with VAT included). With it, you have access to GPT-5.3 as the base model and GPT-5.5 Thinking —the extended reasoning mode launched in April 2026, with up to 3,000 messages weekly—, image generation with DALL-E, limited access to Sora for creating short videos (up to 10 seconds at 480p), advanced voice mode, enhanced Deep Research, and Custom GPTs to automate repetitive tasks.

It's worth noting that the original GPT-5 and GPT-4o were permanently retired in February 2026; all plans migrated to the GPT-5.3/5.5 family. There are limits: up to 160 messages every 3 hours with GPT-5.3, and truly unlimited access is reserved for the Pro plan at $200 monthly. For normal professional use, Plus is more than sufficient.

Claude Pro: the best for long text and deep reasoning

Claude Pro, from Anthropic, costs $20 per month (between 22–24 € in Spain depending on the EUR/USD exchange rate, as it bills in dollars and adds VAT at checkout). It includes access to all Claude models —Opus 4.7 and Sonnet 4.6—, 5 times more messages than the free plan, unlimited projects to organize conversations and documents, integration with Google Workspace, web search, and code execution and file creation.

An important change in 2026: Claude Code (the tool for programming from the terminal) moved to the Max 5x plan ($100/month), so it's no longer included in Pro. For chat and text AI use, Pro remains the most comprehensive level. Its strong point is the 200K token context window —more than ChatGPT Plus— and the quality of response: in 2026 benchmarks, Claude leads in solving complex coding problems compared to GPT-5.

Google AI Pro (formerly Gemini Advanced): AI integrated into your entire Google ecosystem

Google rebranded Gemini Advanced as Google AI Pro in early 2026. The price is 21.99 €/month in Spain (VAT included, making it the only one of the three that shows the final price in euros directly). It provides access to Gemini 3.1 Pro, Deep Research, NotebookLM Plus, video generation with Veo 3.1, and —here comes its big advantage— 2 TB of storage in Google One included.

What truly sets it apart is the integration with Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet. Gemini is within the apps you already use, not in a separate tab. If your work life takes place in Google Workspace, this completely changes the equation.

Who is each AI subscription for?

There is no universal answer. It depends on how you work.

ChatGPT Plus is for you if you use AI for varied tasks —writing, data analysis, creating images, making short videos—, are already familiar with the OpenAI ecosystem, and value having access to the most well-known tool with the most third-party integrations. It's also the best option if you use Custom GPTs to automate specific workflows.

Claude Pro is for you if you work a lot with long documents, need nuanced and detailed responses, or program regularly. Developers and technical writers often prefer it for the quality of its responses in complex contexts and its ability to maintain coherence in long conversations. It's also the favorite of those who prioritize accuracy over speed.

Google AI Pro is for you if your workflow already lives in Google Workspace. If you spend your day between Gmail, Docs, and Sheets, having Gemini integrated directly into those apps is a huge advantage that neither ChatGPT nor Claude can match. Additionally, if you already pay for Google One for storage, the jump to AI Pro has a much lower effective cost.

Which offers the best value for money?

At an equivalent price —around 20 euros per month—, the answer depends on your priorities:

If you want versatility and the largest ecosystem of integrations, ChatGPT Plus wins. GPT-5.5 Thinking is the most accessible reasoning mode on the market at this price, and the Custom GPTs community is unrivaled.

If you want response quality and document work, Claude Pro is hard to beat. Its 200K token window surpasses ChatGPT Plus, and the Opus 4.7 model leads in complex analysis and writing tasks. However, if you also need to program intensively with AI, you'll have to consider whether the jump to Max 5x ($100/month) is worth it.

If you want maximum integration with tools you already use and included storage, Google AI Pro has an objectively superior value to the price: 21.99 € for Gemini 3.1 Pro plus 2 TB in Google One is an offer that the others cannot match in material terms.

The "worst" option is simply paying 20 euros a month for a subscription that doesn't fit your way of working. And the best —which many still don't know— is not having to pay the full 20 euros.
